Help save our pets family lives

Hi~
We are Claudia and Marco, and we're here seeking your support to help saving our bunny Poki's life from Cancer, for our dog Yoshi life-treatments and for the other costly cares our other two bunnies, Loki & Nuki, require for their recent health-issues.

Over the past few months, starting in December, our family has been hit by a series of unfortunate events, one after the other.

Those of you who follow us on Instagram may already know that we have 3 small bunnies and 1 big sweet dog, Yoshi (14yrs old). The 3 bunnies (all 8yrs old) are siblings named Nuki, Poki, and Loki... They had a dad named Kun(9yrs old), who tragically left us in January due to a malignant melanoma (likely with metastases) that went undetected until it was too late. Despite multiple visits and long stays in the hospital since December... Kun's passing already left an indelible mark on our hearts.

Poki
Shortly after, due to severe and frequent sneezing, Poki's health started deteriorating rapidly as well. Rushed to the hospital, he was admitted for a suspected edema (to be drained), which turned out to be a diaphragmatic hernia requiring surgical intervention... During the surgery, however, a rare type of lung tumor was discovered - lymphocytic thymoma - in addition to the hernia, which was successfully removed. To this day, Poki is undergoing treatment with corticosteroids, fluids, and multivitamins for the tumor. However, he would require chemotherapy or radiation therapy, but we can't proceed with them...

Yoshi
In the meantime, in February, our lovely Yoshi experienced gastric torsion with foam inhalation into his lungs... which necessitated emergency surgery and gastropexy. Thankfully, the procedure went (initially) well. He was hospitalized for several days in intensive care with a guarded prognosis... but he pulled through! Upon returning home, he required intensive therapy as he could no longer stand on his own, and we had to start physiotherapy sessions. Unable to eat dry kibble anymore, we also had to switch to preparing him a costly homemade diet with meat.

Everything seemed to be going well until the end of March when he suddenly experienced a second gastric torsion (an extremely rare occurrence), much worse than the first... Indeed, this time, his spleen necrosed and had to be removed. He successfully underwent this second surgery and subsequent (long) hospitalization - once again on potent medications. However, he emerged from it all utterly devastated... having already shed quite a few pounds, he lost even more weight (dropping to a mere 22kg -48,5lbs- from his usual 40kg-88,18lbs).

In his fragile state, Yoshi has been unable to resume physiotherapy and requires constant attention: he cannot move/walk on his own, needs assistance with drinking water and eating, cannot urinate by himself (hence we must manually press his bladder every 2-3 hours, as he also suffers from chronic cystitis). He has developed liver issues and a probable IBD that causes him constant abdominal pain and intestinal problems...

But he is a warrior! He has fought so hard to be where he is now and survive such severe events. Against all odds and contrary to any doctor's prognosis... who had already given up on him a long time ago.
Despite all the "not worth it" comments... he wants to keep on living, on playing despite the pain, having a good appetite, and always dreaming of running as he moves his legs while he sleeps. Should we throw away all his efforts made so far to hang on?

We have undergone (and continue to undergo) countless expensive checks, tests, and analyses... visiting various veterinary clinics. Because we believe he deserves to have a better quality of life, even if these may truly be his final days.

And, if possible, we want to give him a chance for a sweeter and more peaceful old age.

Poki (again)
As if things weren't already challenging enough, in April, Poki experienced a severe deterioration due to intestinal stasis... leading to yet another hospitalization. He weathered this critical setback as well, but since then, additional therapies and a forced high-fiber diet, along with forced hydration due to dehydration caused by corticosteroids, have become necessary.

>While all these events may already seem like a lot or 'bad luck', our difficulties did not end here (it truly feels like someone has cast a curse upon us).

Loki
In May, another one of our dear bunnies, Loki, suddenly fell ill. He was the only one who had never experienced any major health issues over the years... and has always been quite the eater. However, this time, he battled for his life due to a severe and inexplicable intestinal stasis too -which caused a large and tough mass inside his intestine, making it impossible for him to relieve himself.
Therefore, he was urgently hospitalized as well -with a guarded prognosis (even the veterinarians themselves doubted he would have made it). But he pulled through and returned home with us after some days!
His situation remains critical, and he has various therapies to undergo as well. Nevertheless, for now, he is not the same Loki as before...

Nuki
Filled with apprehension, we have decided to bring in the other bunny, Nuki, for a check-up during this time... and, although he didn't seem to have any sort of symptoms, he has been diagnosed with an eyes inflammation for which we need to lubricate his eyes with artificial tears and apply an anti-inflammatory eye drops every day.
Additionally, he may soon need to undergo a significant surgery for dental malocclusion and teeth filing... as without it, he may struggle to eat in the future -which can be even more dangeours given his age.

We wish we didn't have to ask for money, but we are truly on the brink of despair. We can't sleep more than 3 hours straight at night to keep up with all the therapies and treatments. We had to put our work on hold and even our own lives because we love them so much. We want to be there for them and be able to help... but the anxiety of potentially losing them and, in the meantime, running out of the money we had saved up, is truly consuming us.

So far, we have already spent around 10K euros since December on all the surgeries, visits, medicines, new food... Savings patiently accumulated over time (and set aside to finally be able to buy our first home -where we could live peacefully with our furry little ones -- since we have been living practically in a one-room apartment with a hallway).

We are asking for this help because we don't have friends who can assist us, nor supportive families... We have to do everything on our own -which is why we have very little time to dedicate to work... (which is also a creative one, and requires the right mindset to create something new).

We know it's asking a lot, but truly any help, even small, would make a difference for us! We're extremely stressed and frustrated. And now even our own health is starting to falter...

Your support during these dark times would mean the world to us as we care for all our babies and ensure they receive the treatments they need. Your kindness would not only help us financially but also provide us with the strength to face the uncertainties that lie ahead with our fluffy family's health.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Claudia and Marco
