Help our friend Allen fight ALS

Allen Galant is a 72-year-old psychotherapist, loving husband, and father who was recently diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis – aka Lou Gehrig's Disease). His family needs our help to get through this difficult time.

Allen is one of the sweetest and most empathetic people you could meet. He has dedicated his life as a psychotherapist to the compassionate care of hundreds of clients. Now it is his turn to receive the care, support, and compassion he and his family need.

Allen was diagnosed with ALS in November 2022. This devastating disease affects the nervous system and eventually leads to paralysis and death. Sadly, there is no known cure for ALS.

In addition to the ALS diagnosis, Allen’s illness is further complicated by having contracted Lyme disease and COVID-19. Allen needs a treatment that is not covered by insurance and the cost is significant.

Any contribution you can make will go a long way toward helping Allen and his family–Maria, his wife, and Leah, his daughter. Allen is no longer able to practice his profession due to his speech difficulties and Maria has retired to become his full-time caretaker.
