Help Our Friend Bikash Fight for His Life After a Devastatin
Donation protected
Our beloved friend Bikash, a 24-year-old international student from Dehradun, India, studying at UMass Lowell, had his world shattered on April 21, 2025. While cycling home, a route he took every day, a car sped through a red light, struck him, and fled, leaving him broken and alone on the street. A kind stranger found him and called 911, but the damage was done—Bikash was left with life-altering injuries, including severe brain trauma.
First responders fought to save him, pulling him from the wreckage of his bike. For an agonizing 5–8 minutes, he had no pulse, but EMS miraculously brought him back. Rushed to Mass General Hospital in Boston, Bikash has been in a coma ever since. The accident caused a catastrophic brain injury from cardiac arrest, leaving him unable to control his body. His liver and kidneys are also gravely injured. On April 22, doctors broke the heart-wrenching news to his parents in India over a video call: Bikash will need permanent life support to survive, requiring complex surgeries on his throat and stomach.
Bikash is the only child of his elderly parents, who are shattered by this tragedy. They can’t afford to travel to the U.S., and their modest means can’t cover the staggering medical costs. Here in the U.S., we, his friends, have been by his side, standing in for family, holding onto hope while grappling with the weight of his condition. Bikash has always been the one to lift others up—hardworking, generous, and full of dreams. Now, he needs us to lift him up.
We’re reaching out to you, our community, to help ease the crushing burden of Bikash’s medical care. Every dollar you give will go directly to his hospital bills, life-sustaining surgeries, and the long road of care ahead. Even a small donation can bring a glimmer of relief to his family, showing them Bikash isn’t alone. If you can’t give, please share this page—it’s a powerful way to help.
This isn’t just about money; it’s about showing Bikash’s family that people care, that their son’s life matters. Thank you for wrapping them in your support, for praying for Bikash, and for helping him fight when he can’t.
Your Donations Will Support:
- Hospital bills and critical surgeries for life support
- Ongoing medical care and rehabilitation
- Immediate needs for Bikash’s family and friends by his side
Please give what you can or share this campaign to help Bikash.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
