Help our friend Kitty recover from a car accident

Dear friends, family and caring supporters,

This is my dear friend, Kitty. Recently, she experienced a devastating car accident that left her in a difficult situation. On June 27th (the day before her birthday), Kitty was involved in a car accident - while driving through an intersection, another driver ran a red light, resulting in a collision and her car being totalled.

Kitty was immediately rushed to the hospital to ensure she doesn't have serious injuries. After hours in emergency, she was released with whiplash and a concussion. She is now doing physio and is still dealing with concussion symptoms, such as severe headaches, tinnitus, fatigue and overwhelm with multitasking, complex thinking or layered problem solving, and shortened screen time abilities, which has prevented her from returning to work.

The path to recovery has been challenging, both physically and emotionally for Kitty. While insurance has provided some support, it is not covering everything, and the bills continue to pile up, affecting her ability to meet other financial commitments, like paying for rent and utilities.

Additionally, the current inflated used car market has made it challenging for Kitty to find a replacement vehicle. Not having a car adds an extra layer of difficulty as it's uncertain when she will be able to drive back home to Quebec.

Despite the hurdles and hardships she faces, Kitty remains a beacon of resilience and positivity. Those who know her well can attest to her compassionate and kind nature, always putting others before herself and never hesitating to help those in need. Now, it's time for us to show her the same compassion and support she always shows us.

We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help Kitty alleviate the financial stress caused by the accident. The funds raised will be used to cover medical expenses, rent, utilities, and any other essential living costs. Additionally, the contributions will help her purchase a used vehicle to restore her independence once recovered.
