Please Help Our Friend Recover
Donation protected
We have known Lisa Penn for many years and we would like to help our dear friend get through tough times.
Lisa needs our help to restart her life and get back on her feet.
On June 26, 2023, Lisa’s marriage came to an abrupt, tragic end. The details need to remain private currently due to an ongoing criminal court case in the Worcester County Circuit Court.
This will be a long and difficult process for Lisa and she needs not only our financial help but our love and support as well. Her entire world has been turned upside down and she has a long road ahead of her physically, emotionally and financially. She is doing everything she can to move forward in a productive, healthy way, using the resources available to get the help needed for herself and her daughter. Lisa married a man who, leading up to their marriage, was everything that she ever wanted and then he quickly turned into someone she did not recognize. No one asks for or deserves that.
Lisa is currently living in the house she rented and has called home for the past 5 years. She had created an affordable place for her & her daughter to live in a good neighborhood. She built her studio on the property so she could be at home for her daughter. In December 2022, shortly after they were married, she and her ex-husband purchased the home together. It has been made clear that there is intent to destroy Lisa financially, particularly to take the home from her and her daughter with no regard for their wellbeing. Lisa needs our help.
She recently was hired at her daughter’s school and will supplement her income with her art as she proceeds with her divorce. The lawyer fees, along with immediately assuming all the bills will wipe out what little money she has saved. The joint bank account was cleared out while Lisa was in the hospital on that day and she has also been left with an unpaid roofing bill of 4k.
Any amount that you can donate is greatly appreciated and will be going to help someone who would do the same for you if the situation was reversed.
Lisa is truly one of the nicest and most caring people I have ever met. She truly is a beautiful person and has volunteered for many of her art services over the years for several different charities. During Covid, she did many live online classes for kids to help with stress. Her father was a Baltimore City Fire Fighter who passed when she was young. To honor her father, she continues to use her art for fundraisers for the Widows & Orphans fund for families of fallen firefighters. If you have ever met Lisa, you know that she is someone who would never ask for help. Lisa has been brave enough to share her story and had the courage to stand up for not only herself but anyone else who might be in the same situation. On the other side of this nightmare, she fully intends to use her art to help raise money for Victims of Domestic Violence. Please help her in her journey to recovery.
1 in 4 women have been victims of severe physical violence (e.g. beating, burning, strangling) by an intimate partner in their lifetime.
1 in 4…. This means it is very likely that you, or someone you know and love, could be one of those women.
