Help our girls get home after ICU discharge
Early in the morning on August 1st, a weekend that was intended to be filled with celebration turned into a nightmare. Frankie, her husband Michael, his sister Amanda, and their family friend Lorraine were heading back to their hotel after a fun night out in Las Vegas when the Lyft they were in was involved in a horrible accident. The details of the crash are yet to be released but all 3 girls were admitted into Trauma ICU in critical condition. Michael, by miracle, was discharged the same day and has been by their side with family and friends ever since. Michael will be staying in Vegas until the girls are ready to be discharged and cleared for a flight home. Unfortunately, doctors can’t put a date on their release due to the extent of their injuries. Not only are the girls impacted due to the severity of their injuries, but this is taking a high financial and emotional toll on both, their family who is able to make it to Vegas and for those left worrying in Chicago—like Amanda’s son who just wants his mom to come home. We are asking for help from our community, family and friends to cover the cost of any bills and expenses. The last thing any of them need to worry about is the financial burden that will come if we do not step in and help. The hospital does not allow overnight guests and Las Vegas unfortunately does not offer assistance for family of victims. The hotel stays are pricey and a rental vehicle is needed to get back and forth. No amount is too little as we pull together and wrap these girls and their families in our love. We ask, at minimum, you keep our family in your prayers as we get through this difficult situation. Full details will be released at a later date.
