Help Our Grandma Get Critical Medical Care
Donation protected
Please help my family pay for my Lola/Grandma, Gloria Abad's medical bills and transport.
On April 10, 2024 my grandmother had a life-threatening stroke and pre-existing heart condition and has not recovered from it. She was admitted to Guam Regional Medical City and remained in the ICU until June. She is now home with us but requires 24/7 around-the-clock care, performing basic bodily functions only through tubes. This resulted in my auntie having to take off from work to focus on being the primary caregiver for her mother.
My grandmother lived in San Diego prior to this incident, with the majority of our Abad family being there. Due to the extremely limited resources on island (medical services / supplies) to accommodate her condition, we are seeking to medically transport her from our Guam residence to California. For full transparency, her hospital bill and home supply has already come up to half a million dollars in expenses and today we were informed her air ambulance service is an estimated $40,000.
This has been a silent and challenging battle for us as a family. I would never ask for money in normal circumstances, but we are running out of options and do not have the funds to get her the care she needs.
If you know me, Cyndal Abad, my siblings (Aydan & Kyran), my father and mother (Jose and Brenda Abad), my aunties, uncles and cousin (Jolorie, Toree, Skye, Joselito (and the late Joseph) Abad), you know that we would do anything for our family.
We humbly ask for your prayers and support during this challenging time.
