Help our Health Heroes Campaign

The Impartial Reporter has teamed up with the Fermanagh Trust to launch the Help Our Health Heroes campaign in the ongoing fight against the coronavirus.

As we as a community come together by staying apart at this most difficult of times, it is clear that our courageous frontline health and social care workers need all the help we can give them.

Undoubtedly, all the workers have been hugely boosted by the support they have been given by the entire community in this time of crisis but this is an opportunity to help in real terms.

To this end we are setting up a Gofund Me page 'Help Our Health Heroes' where you can donate funds that will be used primarily to help our healthcare workers and volunteers across the county.

The objective of the Fund is to provide support to frontline health and social care staff and volunteers. With funds raised being utilised to purchase Personal Protection clothing and equipment, for the provision of staff care services and any objective which appears to the Trustees of Fermanagh Trust to advance the protection and wellbeing of health and social care staff and volunteers.

The fund will be open to organisations and agencies looking after the needs of doctors and nurses, health and social care staff and home care personnel including volunteers. Among the greatest in need currently are those providing community, home-based services to our elderly, ill and vulnerable, these include private and not for profit contracted services.
