Help our Julie survive

I would like to introduce you to our little fighter, Julie Noelle. Born at 33 weeks-7 weeks premature with numerous serious birth defects. She was placed on a ventilator as she has been unable to breathe on her own. In Julie’s first 3 days of life 2 lbs. of infectious fluid was surgically removed from her lungs, stomach and uterus. A central line was inserted to her heart, a colostomy bag procedure was performed as well as a feeding tube inserted. Another surgery was performed to attach her trachea to her lungs. Once stabilized Julie was medically transported to a major medical center in Chapel Hill, NC located 3 1/2 hours from our home in Asheville, NC. She is awaiting more extensive surgeries for her digestive and reproductive systems. Her doctor told us to be prepared that we have a long road ahead of us.

Due to this we are trying to maintain 2 households. One in Asheville so her father can continue to work and housing in Chapel Hill for myself to be available for Julie and her medical team. Her father is commuting on weekends and as needed for surgeries. At this time we are down to one income. It has been emotionally and financially devastating! And durning this stressful time with all the traveling, our car now needs a new transmission. In order to be with Julie we are now having to pay for car rental as well.
