Help Mount Caritas Serve the Needy For Giving Tuesday 2024

I am familiar with the great work that Fr. Benedict Mary, OSB, and the staff of Our Lady of Mount Caritas are doing in rural Connecticut.

The present organization follows the vision of the founder, Rev. Mother Mary Peter Jordan, OSB, who built the monastery in 1979 as an oasis of Benedictine spirituality. Key in this spirituality is the belief that everyone who comes to the doors of the monastery is to be treated as if Jesus is coming to them. Hospitality is an essential part of how people are treated. And in an area where poverty is ever-present, a respite is truly a gift to the people in need. The staff runs a food pantry funded by members of the church that supports the mission. Also, counseling is provided on a donation basis. No one is refused help!

Fr. Benedict Mary must raise $7,000 each month to pay the bills of this mission. I am running this Giving Tuesday Fundraiser of 2024 to help in a little way in the good work that makes a difference in the lives of so many.
