Our beautiful wild piece of nature and everything we have been building for the last years has gone up in smoke. The intense wildfires of the last few days made a devastating impact on us. We created Ahua to protect and improve the amazing nature of this land and make a beautiful retreat in nature. Now there is nothing left of this magical place except our stone house.

We lost; Two caravans, our campervan, our camp kitchen, A-frame, our toolshed containing all our tools and machines, one car, 2000 meters of plumbing and water infrastructure, two solar systems, our wood storage with new wood for projects, our tree nursery including all seeds and seedlings, all irrigation pipes, electricity cables and internet cables, all our personal belongings and computers, and 18 hectares of beautiful ecosystem.

With your help, we will do everything in our power to rebuild and bring nature back, replant native species and make the ecosystem robust en fireproof, increase water storage and retention and give this land its magic back so that all the animals that called this place home can return. If we’re successful we’ll continue our work reforesting also beyond our own land.
