Help our LIRR brother Rob Gallagher

To all our LIRR Brothers, Sisters, Family and Friends,

It is with great love, resilience, and unwavering spirit that we come together to support our LIRR brother Rob Gallagher and his family.

For over 15 years, Rob has been a proud working member of the Long Island Railroad, like his father before him. He is not only a Locomotive Engineer but a dedicated husband to Christa and loving father to five exceptional children, Madeline (19), Samantha (16), Robert (13), Brandon (10) and Jackson (6). Rob has always been the source of strength for his family, friends, and colleagues.

Last year at his 40th birthday celebration, Rob was the vibrant, fun-loving family man ready for a good time, a laugh, and an occasional Krispy Kreme Doughnut. Unfortunately, life took a turn a few months later when Rob was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer.

Since then, Rob has endured extensive treatments, mounting medical bills and everyday expenses, all while continuing to provide for his family and work alongside his Railroad family. Rob’s wife Christa has devoted every waking minute to caring for Rob and being a full-time mom.

Now their greatest challenge lies ahead, a prognosis of 3 to 6 months remaining for the man who has been a pillar of strength for his family, friends, and colleagues.

As a Railroad family our strength lies in unity. It’s time to stand with our brother Rob and support his family as they navigate this next journey. Please contribute and share with your social network to help the Gallaghers focus on creating cherished memories, finding love and peace, and not mounting bills and time-wasting burdens of financial stress.
