Help Our Local Out Of School Childcare!

Dear all in the community,

I am a parent of the local club As many in the community know of the popular out of school club called Robins that runs at the snodland community centre. The out of school childcare provides before and after school and holiday club for the 3 local schools Holborough Lakes Primary school, Snodland C of E and St Katherines.

Unfortunately recently the staff have been informed that Robins out of school club will be shut down at short notice due to no fault of there own. The staff are absolutely fantastic and have gone way above and beyond to provide us parents with new childcare and have had a tough few weeks but has spent the last week fighting to get a new club re opened to allow us parents to have the wrap around childcare so we can work and provide for our family’s.

So Now Robins officially is shut down the staff are reopening a new club starting next week in the same premises Called Kool kids. Now unfortunately because the minibus they used belong to the old company this means they are doing a “walking bus” to collect children from the 3 local schools and may I add the mini bus gave them freedom to go on trips during holiday club. However these ladies have worked extremely hard the last 4/5 years and as many know have a fantastic reputation. They volunteered during the pandemic to stay open so us parents could carry on working to provide for our families.

The team have always had our children and us parents there first priority and despite the hard week they have had they have been determined to keep going for the children and parents.

I have set up this go fund me in the hope that anyone in the community can help these ladies in anyway they can. Funds raised can help towards the ladies to get closer to regaining a minibus to run even more effectively despite already doing a fantastic job. These ladies have always put themselves last and I and others in the community have seen how extremely hard they work and how much our children love the club.

Please if you can help in anyway you can or even share so we can help the ladies in what has been the toughest couple of weeks regain a business and provide and children the care and freedom they have had.

When the club first opened they had 10 children a day attend the setting now they hit 50 children a day.
