Help Our Lupus Warrior Jamie

Dear Friends,
We're letting you know that we are kicking off a campaign to help our friend Jamie, and we need your help!
Our beautiful friend Jamie has lupus, an autoimmune disease she had kept under control since 2010 when she was first diagnosed.
Jamie started experiencing signs of illness in the fall of 2021 that worsened over time. She kept working because she didn't think anything was wrong, but she had sharp chest pain! She came home from work one day and was told to go to the hospital and get it checked, and the doctor discovered that she had blood clots in both lungs.
Unable to work as a flight attendant, Jamie started treatment with daily injections for her blood clot. While treating her blood clot, Jamie developed other symptoms that the doctors could not diagnose. She developed infections that did not respond to oral or IV antibiotics. In addition, she suffered frequent bouts of vomiting and diarrhea. Doctors could not find any reason for her illness. Jamie could not eat or drink anything without suffering. Her doctors performed different tests (colonoscopy, endoscopy, CT scans, Ultrasound).
Jamie lost over twenty pounds and was extremely weak. Blood tests showed that her kidneys were not functioning, her blood pressure was elevated, and her iron count was so low that she had to do an IV infusion each week. Her quality of life was nonexistent. The doctors were unable to diagnose Jamie's illness. The only remedy they offered was for her to take high doses of steroids each day. So, her daily life consists of taking large amounts of medication daily.
There are specialists in functional medicine who have accepted her to their program for treatment. Unfortunately, they do not accept any insurance at all!
They claim it is still too experimental. It will cost Jamie over $20,000 to cover her medical testing and pay the doctor's bills at their clinic.
We all love Jamie, and we miss her fighting spirit.
The effects of this illness are devastating to her; Treatment at this clinic will give her a fighting chance. It's difficult to live day by day not knowing what is causing these symptoms; when will the symptoms go away?
We hope the treatment at this clinic will cure Jamie, and we can help ease the financial burden and resulting stress that she is facing. We aim to raise $20,000 or more for Jamie to help pay her medical bills to the clinic.
