Help Our Mama Chiaki Receive Life-Saving Treatment in Japan

Hello everyone,

My name is Tamako Delfino, and I am reaching out to share my mother's story. My mother, Chiaki Delfino, who is 62 years old, was recently diagnosed with pancreatic adenocarcinoma, a complex form of cancer. We are traveling to Japan to get her treated through a clinical trial at Tsukuba University Hospital.

Any donations to help cover her medical journey, comfort, and living expenses would be greatly appreciated.

Chiaki is a devoted mother of three, born in Osaka, Japan, and has lived in Hawaii for the last 35 years. She is the hardest-working person I know, having spent her life working overtime in the food industry to support me and my two older brothers. Chiaki has always been committed to providing the best possible service to the elderly at the retirement home where she worked, sacrificing so much for our family. It may be considered that we did not have a lot of money of growing up but I never once felt that way. I was always full of her love and warmth. She taught me how to enjoy myself and be strong. Despite her unwavering support, I still don’t feel that my gratitude is enough to repay her for all her love and hard work.

Even in this state, she says that she would rather use her savings for her children than for her own treatment.

It pains me to see her suffer, especially after all her years of hard work without being able to retire. My mom has always brought joy and laughter to our family, and I hope to see her continue to live as long as possible to enjoy life. One of her wishes is to see me in a wedding dress. I want her to witness me become a mother someday, I want her to hold my baby.

From the bottom of my heart, I ask anyone who is able to help her through this journey to lend a hand. Your support will allow her to receive treatment without worrying about anything other than getting better.
