Help our mate with his biggest battle yet

With a heavy heart I write this post,
Our good friend, Martin Hughes has been given the biggest challenge of his life. He has unfortunately been diagnosed with a rare cancer of the throat, small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma.
Martin is fighting for his life with all the stubbornness and enthusiasm he has, this comes at a cost. His treatment is ongoing and will hopefully do the job, but this is not offered by the NHS due to the region in which the cancer formed. He is using oxygen tanks, and other treatments, this cost is currently approx £6500 every 3 weeks, this barely being met by Martin and family. Being faced with this battle, financial implications are the last thing he should be worrying about. This cost will not stop, it will only increase as the weeks go on. Times are hard financially for everyone and #teammartin appreciate that, but if anyone could spare anything to help save the life of one of the kindest, most loveable lads you would ever meet, it would be appreciated by everyone who has ever had the privilege of meeting Martin.
Martin is a stubborn bastard and this won't beat him, but whatever we can do to help him will be appreciated by everyone.
Myself (Roberto) and Richard Maxwell will be riding from Goodison Park to Old Trafford on the 8th of April to raise funds towards this appeal. There is also a fundraiser organised on 31st of March to further add to the pot. Should anyone wish to join any of these events please get in touch.
Thank you.
