Help Our Mom Rebuild Her Home
August 2021 hit our family hard with a fire that set my mother's house ablaze. This house was filled with memories, generations of family photo albums and ancient knick-knacks from our Mexican heritage that were priceless to all of us. This house could be considered a museum of our family history that was given to my mom by our grandmother, Andrea Villalva, after she passed away in January. This was a hard hit for all of us to see. The ancient "butterfly house" where our family made many tortillas, hosted many family gatherings and had countless conversations filled with laughter was now covered in ashes.
Along with the precious family memorabilia, our mom also lost her canine companion/best friend and “support system,” our little baby Chloe. Chloe, who has always been the sweetest little protector of our mom, died of smoke inhalation.
After a year of losing her mother in January 2021 to now losing her home and her side-kick, Chloe, our family is asking for your help. Our mother will need to build a new home and recover the basics (clothes, toiletries, etc) as everything she owned was lost in the fire.
Our goal is to raise $15,000 - $20,000 which will all assist with my mom's basic needs and eventually the rebuilding of her home. The house was not insured so any financial assistance will be helpful for us since this will all be paid for out of pocket.
Thank you so much for the outpouring love and support during this time. We will rise above and will do so even faster with your help!
