Help Our Mother Heal After Tragic Attack
Donation protected
Early Saturday morning our family received one of the worst calls one could get. While working an overnight shift our mother of 69 years was attacked by a client. My mother has been a home health aide for the past 10 years and never once could we imagine ourselves in this position.
After caring for this particular client for about 2 years he woke early Saturday morning asking what time it was, after she told him it was around 3 he came back with a knife and started attacking while she screamed for help kicking and thrashing in the recliner chair she was in.
My mother was rushed to the emergency room after receiving over 30 stabs and slashes from a knife.
We are so thankful she is alive, After spending a few days in the hospital and receiving multiple blood transfusions and many stitches she is home safe and recovering. However we know the wounds of this incident will remain long after the physical have healed.
We have been asked by many for a GoFundMe page and so we are creating this for those who would like to help. We appreciate anything that is donated from the bottom of our hearts! We are overwhelmed by the support and love we have received for our mother. We would like to thank Drew Karedes and the Fox 25 team for shedding a light so others in the healthcare field learn from this incident and learn to always protect themselves. Please hug those you love tightly and remember to spread kindness to all.
A very special thank you to Johnny the building security guard for stepping in and saving our mother’s life as well as the Tufts Medical team that did such an amazing job on our mother, and all those who rushed to her aide during this time.
