Help our mum to walk and function by herself again

Our beloved mother was a participant in a serious car accident, as a result of which she suffered extensive Injuries. The injuries include a punctured lung by a fractured rib, a bruised heart, a fracture of 20 ribs, collarbone and sternum bone, which required reconstruction of the collarbone and ribs on the side of the punctured lung. Fractures of the wrist, pelvis, and leg fractures with nerve damage. She spent 2 months in the intensive care unit, where, after a long and exhausting treatments, she had to fight sepsis and septic shock twice. Thanks to her doctors knowledge, quick reaction and commitment (that I’ll never forget and they will stay in our hearts forever❤️) of her doctors to required treatments, that saved our mums life - our mum was transferred to the rehabilitation department and she is treated in the hospital for the National Health Fund (equivalent to UK NHS), which covers only 6 weeks of such rehabilitation. Unfortunately, in her case, much longer physical and mental rehabilitation is necessary to help our mum walk and function by her own again! Also after strong medication and coma our mum requires neurological therapy, so that she can function logically / mentally again. Such rehabilitation is offered by private medical institutions, and the monthly cost of such treatment is about PLN 30,000 (£6,000), mum needs 6 to 9 months of rehabilitation to regain at least an approximate degree of health that she had before the accident. Unfortunately, this is beyond our capabilities and taking into account the best possible scenarios and 6-month rehabilitation, we still lack funds for half-treatment. That is why we ask for support and help in restoring our beloved mother to physical and mental fitness!

Podczas urlopu w Polsce nasza ukochana mama była uczestnikiem groźnego wypadku samochodowego, w wyniku którego doznała rozległego urazu. Obrażenia to przebite żebrem płuco, stłuczone serce, złamanie 20 żeber, obojczyka i mostka co wymagało operacji rekonstrukcji obojczyka i żeber po stronie przebitego płuca. Złamania ręki w nadgarstku, miednicy i złamania nogi z uszkodzeniem nerwu, powodującego oklapnięcie stopy. Spędziła na oddziale intensywnej terapii 2 miesiące, gdzie po długim i wyczerpującym leczeniu musiała zwalczyć sepsę oraz wstrząs septyczny. Dzięki ogromnej wiedzy oraz szybkiej reakcji i zaangażowaniu jej lekarzy w leczenie, mama została przeniesiona na oddział rehabilitacji i jest leczona w szpitalu na fundusz NFZ, który pokrywa tylko 6 tyg takiej rehabilitacji. Niestety w mamy przypadku jest konieczna dużo dłuższa rehabilitacja fizyczna, aby mama mogła znów chodzić oraz neurologiczna, aby mogła sama funkcjonować pod względem logicznym/psychicznym. Taką rehabilitacje oferują prywatne placówki medyczne, a koszt miesięczny takiego leczenia, to około 30 tys zł, mama potrzebuje od 6 do 9 miesięcy rehabilitacji aby odzyskać choć trochę w przybliżonym stopniu zdrowie sprzed wypadku. Niestety to przerasta nasze możliwości i biorąc pod uwagę najlepszy z możliwych scenariuszy i 6 miesięczną rehabilitacje, wciąż brakuje nam środków na polowe leczenia. Dlatego zwracamy się o wsparcie i pomoc w przywróceniu naszej kochanej mamie sprawności fizycznej i psychicznej.
