Help Wayne and Sherry Get Back On Their Feet After the Fire
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Supporters,
This is Ben and Jaymee Carpenter, and we’re writing on behalf of our parents, Wayne and Sherry Carpenter.
Growing up, our home was part crash pad, rehearsal studio, study hall, but most of all, the heart of the neighborhood. It was where everyone wanted to be after school and on weekends.
For years, my parents, Wayne and Sherry, have been the most selfless and giving people I know. They’ve opened their doors, their kitchen, and their hearts to anyone in need—without ever asking for anything in return.
But now, they need help.
The Eaton Canyon Fire destroyed their home and everything inside it. In just moments, a lifetime of memories, hard work, and generosity was turned to ash. While we’re endlessly grateful that they’re safe, this loss has been devastating. They were able to evacuate with their beloved dogs, Harper and Truman, and the clothes on their backs. Sadly, everything else was lost in the fire.
As someone who’s witnessed firsthand the love and care they’ve poured into others, it’s incredibly hard to see them in a position of needing support. But I know they have a community of friends, family, and kind strangers who believe in lifting each other up, just like my parents always have.
Your donations will allow them to address the many aspects of recovery and help support our family through the crisis. Even if you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would mean the world to us.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping two of the most generous souls I know begin again.
With gratitude,
Ben and Jaymee Carpenter
