Help our Precious Elenna after a Tragic Explosion

Dear friends and kind strangers,

My name is John, and on January 4th, our beloved Elenna suffered third-degree burns covering 30% of her body after a tragic accident in her home. Her condo exploded, literally. Due to high winds, an electrically charged wire ignited a gas leak in her house, causing a devastating explosion. She was sitting at her desk and her computer monitor was the source of the spark. I luckily was there to give her CPR to bring her back, but as I rushed her out, her skin melted off her body. It was the most devastating experience of our lives. The condo was blown out. Everything was either on fire or blown out. Elenna has been in the BICU ever since, fighting for her life through unimaginable pain and challenges.

She might be discharged this week, but she has nowhere to go. The condo is going to take at least 2-3 months to repair, and we’re asking for your generous contributions so she can get a home health care nurse, pay for all the extra medical equipment, and secure a long-term Airbnb or short-term rental while the construction is done. The medical costs, rehabilitation expenses, and ongoing care are daunting, and unfortunately, the insurance process has been delayed amidst the chaos of the recent fires. Elenna is eager to return to a home and continue her recovery, but she needs our help to make that possible.

Elenna has always been the light in all of our lives. She is the most generous, selfless person I have ever known. If Elenna had even the smallest thing to give, she’d give it without hesitation. Her love for her friends and family knows no bounds—she treats every moment with those she loves as if it were the most precious.

This accident has revealed her incredible strength and resilience, after going through 3 surgeries and skin grafts taken from her legs. But it has also left her vulnerable and in need of support. It’s going to be a while before she can grow hair on her head and walk again without support. We’re devastated.

On her behalf, I’m reaching out to ask for anything you can give towards this campaign, or if you know of anyone that can rent out their investment property short term (insurance will pay directly) so she can save on Airbnb fees, or have somewhere in the South OC that will allow her kids to be with her and get to school. That is her biggest concern.
