Help Our Sister Heal From Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Loved Ones and Caring Souls,
Our beautiful sister, Annie, is currently dealing with the greatest challenge of her life – healing from Stage 4 colorectal cancer. As many of you know, the Coman family has been ravaged by cancer already as we lost our brothers, Paul and Basil, to lung cancer 8 and 7 years ago respectively.
Annie began treatment at the Emily Couric Cancer Center at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville earlier this year for colorectal cancer that has metastasized to her liver and both of her lungs. At the same time, Annie cultivated an extraordinary care team bringing the best of both Western and Eastern treatments together, with remarkable success so far. She has accessed a team of decorated oncologists, physicians, surgeons, clinical trial advocates, Chinese herbalists, dieticians, hyperbaric oxygen therapists, acupuncturists, homeopathists and so many more practitioners to
assist her in her survival challenge. She is responding really well to these East meets West treatment protocols and continues to do everything within her means to stay on this side of Heaven.
These holistic nontoxic treatments that she has added to standard care like chemotherapy and radiation not only help kill cancer cells but they also help mitigate damage from infusions, scans and toxic mediums. Specifically, these alternative and natural treatments help to restore healthy
cell growth, reduce side effects like pain, fatigue, nausea and neuropathy associated with the standard oncology treatments and reduce the overall stress from having cancer. So far, she is not yet a candidate for immunotherapy clinical trials or surgery as the cancer has spread too far but she and her team are working on that. Her oncologist predicts she will be in some form of treatment for the rest of her life. Although Annie is taking advantage of all of these wonderful treatments, both standard allopathic and integrative alternative, they come at an astronomical cost. Annie has used every available resource to cover these costs including her entire savings, etc. She is now on the brink of having to forego these potentially lifesaving alternative treatments because she simply doesn’t have the financial resources. As some of you know, Annie is a very talented massage therapist, bodyworker, and artist, who has had to close her massage therapy and bodywork practice in order to focus on
healing. She dedicated 25 years of her life to helping others heal, now she has to focus all of her energy to heal herself. Although she is on disability, this barely covers general living expenses like winter heat, car expenses and basic food.
This is why we are reaching out now. Annie needs your help to continue the regimen that has worked so well for her to date. Please consider making a gift if you are able. If you know others who might be willing to support her extraordinary journey, please share this with them. Stage IV
colorectal cancer is not the death sentence it used to be with all of the new advancements. She has a real chance at not only surviving but thriving and leading a full rest of her life.
God has given her many gifts during this treatment but also some severe challenges: we almost lost her to E.coli during treatment this past winter with septic shock and renal failure. These challenges have miraculously strengthened her body, mind, spirit and resolve to survive and she has already
outlived her original prognosis. Again, we urge your support to keep her on this encouraging and promising path to total health.
Every little bit will help her and no amount is too small. God bless you for keeping our sister in your thoughts and prayers. In loving memory of our brothers, Paul and Basil, we hope you can help give her the chance they did not have.
