Help our students get to NY

Donation protected
To see the national symbol of freedom greeting millions of immigrants and embodying hope and opportunity… to relive the stories of 12 million immigrants! That’s the opportunity we’d like to provide for our students.
Our students are 4th graders at Hancock Elementary School, which is a Title 1 school, in the Borough of Norristown, PA. To bring the curriculum to life for our 94 amazing students, to broaden their minds and horizons to the world outside of Norristown, and to allow them to experience the welcoming symbols of freedom, hope and American ideals, we are journeying with our students on June 8th, 2017, to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Museum of Immigration. Included on our excursion to New York will be a two hour bus ride to Battery Park, NJ, where students will embark on the ferry to travel to the Statue and explore the museum, where students can remember the stories of the millions of immigrants (from which 50% of today's population descended) who entered America there.
The cost of this trip will be $45 per student. We are fundraising, but if you could find it in your heart to donate to help our families defray the cost to help our students have this meaningful experience, we (and they) would be most appreciative.
Thank you so much in advance!
