Help Team SAR Fly - 2024 UAS4STEM Championship

What: We are raising funds to help our team, “Some Assembly Required”, travel for the UAS4STEM Championship competition at AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in July. Our current GoFundMe goal ($7,051) is 50% of the total estimated travel cost, which includes airfare, lodging, meals, and local transportation.

Who: This year’s team is a talented and diverse group of 8 students from 5 high schools. Our team is part of Explorer Post 1010 and is sponsored by Rockville Science Center (RSC), which hosts our team for meetings/build sessions every week.

Why: Our team has worked hard to qualify for the UAS4STEM Championship, and we are excited for them to have the opportunity to demonstrate their engineering, teamwork, and presentation skills while competing against five other teams in the Advanced class. They will also network with industry leaders and other future engineers, and participate in AirVenture activities.

When: We are raising funds from June 29 through July 31.
