Help our YMCA Karate students get new equipment.

Hi, my name is Justin, about 1 year ago I started a FREE Karate class at the YMCA in Seymour, Mo.

We started with about 5 students which fluctuated up and down. About 5 months in to this class we opened a school in Rogersville and I didn't want to close the class at the Y.

 

I asked a fellow black belt, Alan, to take over the class at the Y, under my supervision, since he and his wife Deanne have taken over, the class numbers have risen to some 26 students, this is fantastic! With the class being free, and many of the students being of lower income homes, we are in need of raising money to purchase some mats. The Y has said if we can get the mats, they will build a storage closet for us to keep them in, with a key that only we have.

 

The students have been asked to put in some work to raise money, we need to raise about $2,500 total. This gofundme has the goal of $1,000 and the students are working on their own fundraising ideas currently.

 

This will allow our students to get better and safer training in.
