I never thought I'd be sharing this online -- bringing attention to my greatest lifelong insecurity --- my skin... But it's been too many years now attempting to heal myself in silence, almost in secret, trying not to burden anyone. I realize it's time to let people see what's really going on. It's simply too lonely and exhausting to hide any longer.
Purpose: I'm trying to raise funds for treatment of Topical Steroid Withdrawal (TSW) which I've been suffering from since 2018. There are links down below that explain exactly what it is if you're interested.
One of the biggest reasons I want to start to share my story is because there's a possibility that someone watching (or their child) has TSW which was misdiagnosed as eczema, and/or they're currently using topical steroids without understanding the risks.
Seeing other people be honest about their experiences has been a huge comfort to me as I cope with this condition after years of losing more and more hope. So hopefully this video (and maybe future videos) can serve as a gentle warning. Please take some time to learn about TSW. So many people don't realize what they were getting themselves or their loved one into when they started using these seemly 'safe' prescriptions.
Now I'm just thanking God that I finally have a diagnosis and with that a spark of energy to do everything I can to heal my body and hopefully live a life without constant anxiety and physical discomfort. Thank you for your support helping me pay for my treatments and for helping spread awareness.
