Help Owens parents during this very sad time.

Hello! I am asking for help for Owen Thomas , and his daddy and mommy . 

With permission from my Son and his wife Jessica I can shine some light on Owens situation… So about two weeks ago Owen started acting sick no real symptoms or anything that made them question anything other then teething, the flu that was going around and what not. Well the dr told him to try and prop him up a little bit when he sleeps because he has acid reflux. So they let him sleep with a pillow for the first time ever. He woke up not really able to move his neck, the dr said give it some time it should loosen up. Well it did but then he started not moving his head to the side at all. And he became very cranky only wanted mom, then only dad kinda thing. Dad put him down to try and get him to walk to mom and he looked drunk and had no balance, they took him to the ER at maple grove who ran tests, X-rays, blood work all that. Everything came out normal, Owen pulled his IV out so the ER dr told them they can take him home if they promise to take him to his pediatrician first thing the next morning they did. She ran all the same test plus some everything came out fine but his dr wasn’t convinced. She wasn’t comfortable sending him home so sent them to childrens ER. They ran test after test and did a CT scan where they found a Mass on Owens brain. So they did a surgery to place an EVD in his brain to drain the fluid and release some of the pressure the fluid was causing. He’s had that in since Monday Evening, he is being transferred to Childrens St. Paul today because they have an MRI machine that can be on him while they remove the tumor tomorrow. We won’t know to much about the tumor until it’s out. We are all praying he doesn’t need any Chemotherapy or Radiation afterwards but again won’t know. Please continue to pray for Owen, shawn and Jess as well as the rest of our family. We appreciate it so much.  The outcome of Owens tumor was cancer , and they will have to take him to the Mayo in Rochester Mn for 6 weeks Radiation. And then back home for a small break before he is admitted back into Childrens in Minneapolis for 4 rounds of Chemo. My heart hurts for My son and his family their 1st baby and going through this and at the same time his wife Jessica is 35 weeks pregnant with their daughter. It’s been a rough situation for all of us.  Please keep sharing this AND PLEASE KEEP THE POWER OF PRAYER GOING FOR OWEN . I appreciate you all very much
