Help Paige receive lifesaving medical care

Hi, my name is Carolyn and I am the very proud Mother of Emily, James and Paige. 2 weeks after Paige's 18th Birthday, October 2020, we found out that she has a Brain Stem Glioma, she was rushed straight in for a biopsy, which is usually a straight forward operation, but this took seven hours, we thought that was scary, but that was just the beginning. Radiation therapy and oral chemotherapy followed quickly after the biopsy, this photo of Paige is on the last day of 12 weeks of radiation therapy, January 2021. It was a happy day.

Unfortunately, a couple of weeks later, we found out that both treatments had been unsuccessful in reducing the glioma, so the next treatment was Avastin and more chemo, every two weeks being hooked up to a drip for 1.5 hours, this worked in reducing the size of the glioma, but, the glioma has also started fragmenting and is now in her spinal fluid, accumulating in her spine and the skin of her brain.

We have just been given the awful news that the next treatment they want to try, is not on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme in Australia, and that each injection is $6,000.

Of course we want to do everything we can to keep her alive, her life is only just getting to the good part, but the Australian Government doesn't provide any financial benefit until we've contributed $70,000.

Once we get past that point, they will help, we really need help getting to that point and ask that you please consider helping in any way you can, donations are gratefully accepted, as is sharing this request so that we can hit our target and keep our beautiful Paige with us and hopefully reverse this hideous disease that is devastating her body.

The immunotherapy is due to start Wednesday 14th July 2021, we need to pay as we go, $6000 every three weeks. Please help if you can.
