Help Paine with His Vet Bills!

Hi everyone,

I'm starting this GoFundMe to help raise money for my cat, Paine. Two weeks ago, he was bitten by another animal and was left with a large open wound. Originally, his primary vet flushed the wound and gave him an antibiotic, but it continued to progress. To make matters worse, they weren't exactly forthcoming with the urgency of his wound, opting to instead attempt to treat him in-house when he really needed to see a specialist very early on.

We eventually took him to an emergency hospital and learned that he not only needs surgery for this bite, but he needs hospitalization and a lot of other diagnostic work done to see if any other complications have arisen from the bite because it had become infected. He is also anemic. So far, we've gotten him a blood transfusion and his open wound is bandaged but we need at least $3,500 to get him in the door. The total estimate of the bill is around $8,000. We are facing the threat of putting him down if we can't produce this money but he really has a fighting chance of survival if we can find it.
