Help Pakistan’s forgotten animals during COVID 19
https://www.acfanimalrescue.org/
ACF Animal Rescue is the first and largest rescue service, shelter and sanctuary for the injured, abused and neglected animals of Pakistan. We are also actively working on ensuring legislation is passed for the protection of the most vulnerable and forgotten in society.
During COVID-19, the number of animal abuse and abandonment cases have risen at an alarming rate.
There are currently still no animal rights laws active in Pakistan.
We are trying everything to ensure animal rights are acknowledged, even during lockdown, and we are being inundated with such severe abuse cases everyday.
The way we are helping-
Keeping our rescue service and shelter running and managing operations with all safety precautions in place.
Feeding stray animals, labour animals like donkeys and horses and farm animals on a daily basis via a network of volunteers across Pakistan.
Vaccinating dogs against rabies so the senseless killing ends.
Spreading awareness and education about kindness, coexistence and respect for other living species that inhabit our earth with us.
Setting up a mobile clinic to help those who cannot afford to take their pets for expensive treatment, to help maintain social distancing, and to ensure no one abandons their pets.
The COVID-19 pandemic is directly linked to animal cruelty and we are doing whatever we can in Pakistan to stop this.
We cannot do this alone and this uncertain time is terribly frightening for us as well while we try our best to help the most vulnerable in society.
