Help Palestinian Refugees in PH Find Shelter
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jomay and our group, the Filipinos for Palestine in Treaty 1 territory, Turtle Island (colonially known as Winnipeg), is raising funds for Palestinian refugees seeking shelter and a new life in the Philippines.
Since November 2023, at least 25 Palestinian families have arrived in the Philippines. These refugees were escaping genocide and ethnic cleansing by the apartheid state of Israel. Unfortunately, most of their family members and friends in Gaza have been brutally killed, while some remain stranded in the border near Egypt.
Since arriving in the country, they have been temporarily housed at different places, from university dormitories to churches to farms to temporary housing units.
They are literally homeless, with no clear immigration statuses, no jobs, and no clear path for a safe future for themselves and their families.
Our small group of volunteers are working hard everyday to help them find shelter, food and basic needs, but our resources are limited. We need your help.
One of their primary concerns right now is shelter. Our group is trying to help at least 25 families find their own place.
With your donation, you are helping each family pay for rent and other daily expenses.
We are also looking for sponsors who are willing to sponsor a family, help them find jobs, among others. If this is you, please contact me.
We appreciate your generosity, and please continue calling for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, for an end of Israeli occupation, and for a free Palestine.
Maraming salamat po. Thank you very much.
