Help Pallie recover from her medical emergency
Donation protected
My name is Lavie and I am Pallie's younger sister. Pallie has been bartending for 13 years and is not the type to miss work. I have always seen her go in on her hardest days and even through illness- all with a smile on her face. Around Thanksgiving, she wasn't feeling too well and went to urgent care, where she was misdiagnosed with a sinus infection and sent home with antibiotics. After finishing her prescribed medication she returned to work, still feeling unwell. She began to have complications breathing and even standing up. She was lethargic. After she started to have pain in her hands, she went back to urgent care where she learned that her oxygen levels were at 80%, which is 8 percent under what is considered "dangerously low". She was immediately admitted into Mercy and continuously monitored for 5 days. Chest x-rays showed that she had a severe case of pneumonia, as well as unusually high blood pressure. She was finally sent home with a breathing machine and oxygen tank and instructed to rest as much as she can so her lungs can recover. She is already concerned about trying to return to work. Where most of us have had time to start preparing for the holidays, Pallie has been out of work and ill for nearly 3 weeks. Bartending is her only income to support herself and her 9 year old son Kyson. Our family has been trying to help Pallie and Kyson but we can only do so much. Bills and the Holidays are becoming a compounding financial burden for her.... I know that she is not the type to ask for help but if it means helping my sister and nephew, I will. Thank you times a million for your support. <3
