Help Pam Get Surgery & Stay Afloat

Those of us who are lucky enough to know Pam Pardee know that she's a hard worker who has done everything in her life to lift up those around her. And now Pam needs a little bit of lifting up. Three years ago, Pam left her job as a Radiologic Technologist to become a full-time caregiver for her ailing mother and she moved her mother into her home. In October of 2023, her mother passed away at the age of 91. Pam did not receive any pay for being a caregiver for three years and she was left with a significant amount of debt. She has been working odd jobs to pay the bills while searching for a steady job.

On January 20th, 2024 Pam was hospitalized with a strangulated hernia, which showed on imaging to be just one of three massive holes in her abdominal wall. She was told that she needs total abdominal reconstruction to avoid further emergencies and to avoid emergency surgery. This will be a planned surgery, but it requires downtime that would take Pam out of the job market again. This downtime is currently not an option for Pam. Pam cannot afford to take this time off without our help. She cannot afford to have this necessary, planned surgery without our help.

Pam is a pillar of the communities in which she participates. She has given thousands of hours of service to her church; she is a girl scout leader who urges acceptance in her troop; she is a part of the 4-H community and has touched lives by sharing her knowledge. She is always willing to give more than she has, and she is a force to be reckoned with when she gets an idea in her head. We have all learned so much from her.

Please donate just a few dollars to help Pam get surgery and recover. This will be used to cover basic medical bills that aren't covered by Medicare, to cover food and housing during her recovery time, and to get her on her feet so she can return to the determined, wonderful person that she is. All expenses will be given to her daughter, Heather Pardee, who gave permission for us to run this GoFundMe.

We will provide a detailed list of expenses to all donors. Not a single penny will go to waste, and every penny will be helpful.
