Help Pamela Battle Cancer - Hodgkin's Lymphoma

My name is Pamela Torres, and I'm 28 years old. I never thought I’d be in this position, but life took an unexpected turn. On the 25th of March, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, Stage 2, Pneumonia, and COVID-19. I was taking multiple heavy antibiotics at the same time, they did a thoracentesis (which is the removal of excess fluid from the lung) twice, and so many other tests to find my diagnosis. It's been an incredibly difficult journey for me and my family. We've been going through a lot mentally, emotionally, and financially. After receiving chemotherapy for the first time, I realized that it was going to be difficult for me to continue working. As the side effects of chemotherapy are not easy to deal with, they make it harder for me to accomplish simple tasks throughout the day. I can barely walk a few steps, feeling exhausted, and having a hard time breathing.

I feel like my life has come to a halt. I've been getting a lot of medical bills from all of the treatments I have received, and with that, other expenses as well. It comes to the point where I have to choose between buying food or paying my medical expenses. Along with this, my doctors and hospital are an hour away from my home, so the gas and food expenses are doubled. Also, the side effects of chemotherapy and the pain from the biopsies make it difficult for me to tolerate the long car ride back home. We've been considering moving closer to the cancer hospital to receive full treatments without the hassle of traveling so far, but the lack of financial resources doesn't allow us at this time.

I'm raising $35,000 to help cover medical expenses, doctor visits, essential living expenses, treatment, etc. Every dollar donated will be used to keep a roof over my head and affording the treatments I need while I recover.
