Help Papa David & Mama Mels Find A New Home

In the wake of storms & inclement weather, parts of southeastern Texas have been left decimated by flood waters, including Liberty County—where David & Melanie, a dear brother & sister, and for some of us, mom & dad, live. A little over a week ago, much of their small town of Dayton Lakes, TX was evacuated due to an extreme rise in water levels from the Trinity river. Their mobile home is currently at least halfway flooded; they’ve lost everything, potentially.

In light of all this, they’re still serving and being good stewards for Christ Jesus. It goes without saying just how much we, and many others have been blessed by them. They love even perfect strangers with a self-sacrificial love that can only come from the movement of the Spirit of God. Once again, I ask that we come together as a family, and lift them up, as they do for others, even when their proverbial knees are weak. Let’s give back to them for all they do, and more.

In at least 2 weeks, when the water levels recede, we’ll be able to give a compete update on the damages, but regardless of the outcome, they’ll need help. What I’m asking for is that we chip in and help them with finances in order that they may find new housing and rebuild what they’ve lost. Any amount helps. Thank you in advance.

To Mom & Dad, thank you for all that you are and do. Thank you for being such powerful lights in the darkness, and for showing the love of God in a greater way than I, and indeed many of us, have ever seen. I love you.
