Help Paramedic Gerald Jones heal from COVID19

When an emergency happens, 911 is called, and the paramedics arrive. When a paramedic has an emergency, we never ask for help; we fight through it, adapt and overcome. In a few instances, we need the support and help of our community. One of our own paramedics is in need of help. We're here to ask that very community that Gerald Jones serves to help rally around his family while he fights. He's fighting the biggest battle of his life COIVD19. Gerald, or as most know him Jerry or the lucky few who call him Jonesy needs your help.
Jerry has been a member of the emergency medical services community in Volusia County, FL since May 1999, when he was hired as a part time EMT-B with EVAC Ambulance. Jerry worked his way to become a full time member of the EVAC Ambulance family shortly after in June 1999. Upon his completion of paramedic school, Jerry became a Lead Paramedic with EVAC Ambulance in July 2004. In October 2011, EVAC Ambulance became known as Volusia County Emergency Medical Services. Jerry continued to provide care to the citizens and visitors of Volusia County.
Until recently, the biggest fight Jerry was involved in was Desert Storm. Jerry is a former member of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the USS Roosevelt during the Desert Storm conflict. Jerry is a member of the VFW Post 3282 in Port Orange, Florida. Jerry enjoys riding his motorcycle with Combat Vets Association Rolling Thunder Chapter 8 FL in his spare time.
