Help Parkie’s family beat cancer!
Donation protected
On June 14th, Jessica and Conrad noticed that Parkie had a little fever. It was late in the afternoon, and since his doctor’s office would be closing soon, they decided to go to the ED. They weren’t expecting much out of the visit and were surprised when they decided to do a chest x-ray to look for pneumonia. Instead, they found a mediastinal tumor.
After a few nights in the hospital, a surgical biopsy, and a whole lot of waiting, we learned that Parkie has neuroblastoma, a type of cancer that primarily affects children. More tests and even more waiting have revealed that Parkie’s cancer is in the high-risk grouping.
Luckily, we have an amazing team of doctors ready with a plan to treat our Parkie. He has undergone another surgery to have his broviac placed and has begun his intense chemo regimen.
Our family has been overwhelmed by all of the love and kindness shown to them over the past couple of weeks. The Linders have a long and grueling road ahead of them, but we are confident that Parkie will be just fine. We know our boy has an army of people in his corner praying for him and supporting us every step of the way.
