Help Pastor Fran Afford Vital Treatment

Elisabetta is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Pastor Franton Veira. When Redemption City Church learned of his battle with severe Lyme disease, many in the congregation felt called by God to help. Our $7,000 goal will cover the cost of his 12-month Lyme disease treatment. Below are more details of the situation, written by Pastor Fran.

Pastor Fran's Story:

At the beginning of January 2023, I was driving on the highway, but felt really ill and ended up passing out in the car. Luckily, I swerved off the road in time and was not hurt, but ever since then, I’ve been getting sicker and sicker. After going to many doctors and getting many tests done I got a diagnosis in July of 2023: I have 3 different types of Lyme disease.

Because of Lyme, I’m in constant pain all the time all over my body, have extreme brain fog, and fatigue, and some days I’m bedridden. I have tried many treatments, none of which have worked yet. Also, none of the treatment or medicine I have been getting has been covered by insurance; it has all been put on credit cards or paid in cash when I can afford it. My wife Marbel has been working multiple jobs to try to keep us afloat but it’s been a huge burden and struggle. I am even attempting to get disability assistance but I have been denied twice. It has been over a year and a half since I’ve been able to work. We are praying for some type of breakthrough so that we don’t have to struggle financially month to month. My wife and I have two kids, our son, Maxwell age 3, and our daughter, Larimar age 2. Marbel and I have been trying our best to hold things together, but bills are piling up. There seems to be no end in sight to the struggle.

In the next few months, I will be starting up a new experimental holistic treatment that is promising, but very expensive and out-of-pocket. We know that God is faithful and he will supply our needs and we are grateful for any help that His people can provide.
