Help Pastors get to SBC Annual Meeting 2021
Tax deductible
Update 5/24, 1:00pm: Thank you so much for your generosity! We have decided to increase the goal to $10,000, which will allow three more pastors to attend the Annual Convention.
This fund exists to help pastors and their church's messengers get to the 2021 SBC Annual Meeting in Nashville, for June 15-16. Some churches do not have the funds to be able to sponsor their messengers, which includes gas money, hotel rooms, and food stipends. If you give to this fund, then you will be able to directly help pastors attend the Annual Meeting who otherwise would not be able to go.
Every Southern Baptist church is allowed to send at least two (and up to twelve) messengers who can vote on matters brought before the convention during those days. If recent history holds true, less than 10% of SBC churches will send even one messenger to Nashville.
The current goal of $7,000 will help send 10 pastors to the convention.
$450 hotel (3 nights)
$150 gas money
$100 food stipend
Total: $700 per person.

This fund is sponsored by First Baptist Church, Lindale, Texas. http://fbclindale.com. We are a Southern Baptist Church. We will distribute funds to pastors in our network who need financial help attending the convention. None of the money raised will go toward any of our own pastors or messengers. Our own budget covers our own expenses.
