Help Patricia enjoy her last moments with family

Hi, my name is Beth and I am here in hopes of raising funds for my boyfriends mom, in order to allow them to truly enjoy what limited time they have left with her, and not spend it worrying about the bills that are stacking up, unable to be maintained with such a life changing event.

Patricia is a daughter, mother, grandmother, friend, and caregiver who has spent her life caring for others. Raising children as if they are her own, watching them grow, caring for family’s and becoming part of them until the children she’s caring for are simply just too old. Even then, she remains family.

She loves kids so much, and never thought she would have a grandchild. Yet she is here with one from her only son, finally, a grandkid of her own. Just something about that kind of love of your own grand baby. As much as she loves the kids she cares for, nothing has given her as much joy as having a grandson.

Two months ago, Patricia went in for a follow up appointment and was admitted to the hospital due to concerns of a headache, and a previous hospital stay this appointment was to address.

These two months have been full of disappointment with the care Patricia has been receiving, fight after fight, advocating every step of the way for every basic right of care she deserves.

While the family has been facing this, the household bills are heavily reflecting the financial strain of what has been determined to be terminal illness. On borrowed time with both Patricia, and the house she’s been paying on for 20+ years… to be so close to paying it off and lose it, on top of losing a battle that nobody should have to fight.

Weighing through options of how to save the home, while trying to make sure what time she has left here is nothing but quality time with family.

In an attempt to help relieve their financial burden and buy time to figure things out moving forward, I am reaching out to the community, to her loved ones, to my loved ones. To anyone that may in a position to help with even a little. I am here asking for help for this family as I feel it’s the least I can do to reach out to any resource that pops into our mind as we brainstorm ways to navigate this difficult time full of heartbreak, hardship, and uncertainty.

Anything and everything is more appreciated than any of you will ever understand.

Please help this family have some peace in knowing they have their home while they make the most of what time is left there together.
