Help Patty & Gary Kepner Lahaina Fire Relief Fund

10/31/23: Aloha from Lahaina!
Mahalo for the tremendous outpouring of love, support and donations bestowed upon Gary and me! We are sincerely touched by everyone's kindness and generosity and will be forever grateful!!! Your caring and support through this difficult time, thoughtfulness and extreme aloha will never be forgotten and is deeply appreciated!!
The word on the streets here is that it will take years before we are able to get back to our properties and rebuild. Besides the massive cleanup, most of the major infrastructure was destroyed and will need to be rebuilt! So yes, we know it will be a long haul, but we are determined to stick it out and see it through to recovery!! IMUA LAHAINA!!!
With our wholehearted love, gratitude and appreciation –
Patty and Gary
Update 8/17/23: "Aloha to all! We are sooo overwhelmed by this outpouring of love, kindness, words of support, and donations from our friends and ohana!!! It is beyond words and our hearts are so full of gratitude!!! We cannot express enough our feeling of love and appreciation!!! Lahaina will be back - stronger and better!!! Mahalo and Arigato Gozaimasu!!!" Patty & Gary
Together we exceeded our $100K goal in 6 days! Thank you for the outpouring of generosity and sharing your hearts. The ALOHA SPIRIT is unstoppable! Lahaina Strong and Maui no ka oi!!!
Our first goal was met quickly through your dedication to sharing Patty & Gary's story through social media posts, sending emails and texts, calling contacts, and asking friends who do not know Patty & Gary to donate. Many of you have reconnected with old friends through this outreach. As always, Patty & Gary are bringing people together.
Please continue to spread the word. We are crushing the original goal! With deep gratitude for each of you.
8/11/23: As Patty would say while flashing the hang loose sign, Aloha!!!
It is with great happiness & relief to share that Patty and Gary escaped the horrific Lahaina Fire on August 8, 2023, and are sheltering safely in a nearby community. It is confirmed that their home, car and precious belongings were burnt to the ground.
As a sign of hope, their blue mailbox with Kepner and flowers painted on the side remains standing. In Aloha spirit, we are reaching out to our Ohana who know and have worked with our dear friend Patty (aka Our Lady of Lahaina) to help her and Gary rebuild their lives.
Please consider donating what you are able and/or sharing this campaign on your social channels, via email and text to help ensure that everyone who is blessed to know, and love Patty and Gary, is aware of the situation. Any help is appreciated. All funds will go directly to Patty and Gary. Together we can help Patty and Gary get back on their feet!
