Help Patty Survive a Reoccurring Brain Tumor

Hi! My name is Jen and I am trying to raise money to help my sister Patty fight for her life and heal from a reoccurring brain tumor. Most of you who know her, knows she was diagnosed with one in 2011. Luckily it’s benign, but keeps reoccurring. She has been very private about this. Her follow up MRI in March showed it was growing back in two places. She had to get gamma knife radiation on May 17th for the third time after being in the clear for 5 years. This was a shock to her and a big disappointment. The procedure caused extreme edema in her brain pressing against her brain stem, cerebellum and medulla. All of her fine motor functions and heart/breathing functions are all involved in that area. She has been hospitalized since May 8 times, with non stop nausea and vomiting and has had to take steroids which are wreaking havoc on her body but helping her at the same time.

Walking has been extremely hard for her, she is pushing but has extreme vertigo and dizziness. She is finally home and recovering with our Mother. Who has been a great caregiver. We need lots of prayers that it is all uphill from here, and that she is able to stay out of the hospital. She has little to no financial help at this time, and unable to work and drive. All funds will be going towards her bills, medical bills that are piling up, and any financial needs for her care.

My sister is an amazing woman and has been fighting for her life these past 7 months. She is the most loving person and tries to help everyone, a lot of the time more than herself! So let’s help her get through this fight and struggle to get over this hump in her life. Anything will help, even prayers! Thank You.
