Help Paul and Daniel Yates after an accident

Hi my name is Tanika

today 15/04/22 my uncle Paul Yates (58) and my cousin (Paul’s son )Daniel Yates (29) went for a ride on Paul’s Harley

unfortunately they were T-boned on a round about on Clinton and Bourke street in Goulburn NSW

Paul and Daniel were air lifted to Canberra hospital where we have found out Daniel has a cracked skull from front to back and broken side of face

and Paul’s leg has been shattered to the point the drs are unsure if they can save it and will possibly need to amputate

Paul and Daniel are both truck drivers and they won’t be able to drive for a while if at all

Daniel has a young family who he also needs to support

they have rent to still pay , bills , fuel to and from hospital and dr appointments and with them being the income earners they are now needing the community’s help to get them though

anything will be greatly appreciated to help this family in such a time of need

Update 16th April 2022

Today I have found out that my 29 year old cousin Daniel has lost all of his teeth , and uncle Paul has lost most of his to 

Paul is still calling out for Dan wanting to hear his voice to know he’s ok , Paul had surgery on his leg last night and will be having more in the next couple of days fingers crossed they can save it for him 

Daniels still really confused he can’t remember what happened , Daniel has also tested positive to Covid on top of the crack in his skull and broken face 

What more can a person go through ? Now his family can’t visit him for a week , he’s been asking the nurses where he is ? And why isn’t his family with him ? I can’t even begin to imagine what Paul and Daniel are going through at the moment 

We also want to thank everyone for their generous donations I wish I could thank you all personally and hug each and every one of you for helping to take the bill burden off my family
