Help Paul and Stephanie Redington Through This Tough Time

Meet my friend Paul Redington, a cherished friend of mine for over 35 years. I had the honor of being his best man at his wedding with his wife over 30 years ago. Paul was a beloved teacher at Ashton Elementary, while his wife Stephanie teaches at Lakeview Elementary. They have two amazing daughters, Lauren and Rachel.

Last January, Paul was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, initially mistaking it for a bruised rib from a severe flu. This led to his early retirement as he battles for his life. Recently, Stephanie has come to terms with the fact that she must take an extended leave of absence from her beloved teaching job without pay. In addition to the pain of his illness, they now face the financial burden of their monthly bills without income.

Paul and Steph have positively impacted the lives of countless Sarasota children throughout their 30-year teaching careers. Now, they need the support of their community more than ever.

As I pen this, Paul and Steph are currently at the Mayo Clinic for another round of crucial treatment... always the fighters.
