Help Paul Blais recover from eye surgery
Donation protected
Two weeks ago my friend Paul crushed his eye while wake surfing in the Columbia River outside of Hood River, Washington. It was a freak accident where the board hit him at just the wrong spot. He was airlifted to the hospital, taken into surgery, and doctors spent a few hours attempting to reconstruct his eye. He will meet with surgeons this week to discuss options for removing the eye or possibly having more surgeries to fix the retina and other internal mechanisms of his eye. At this point he has lost all vision.
I first met Paul nine years ago through our mutual love of ceramics. Over the years I've seen him support others through his mentorship, friendship, and by sharing his passion for art on his podcast. He has been a dedicated member of the ceramic community volunteering his time and expertise for others. This is a great opportunity for us to give back to him as his family needs support with medical bills and lost wages during this time. Both he and his wife run their electrician business and won't be making any income until he gets back on his feet. This could be a month or months depending on how the healing goes.
Please donate if you can and share this campaign with a friend.
