Help Paul Fight Stage 4 Colon Cancer
Donation protected
It is with a very heavy heart I am writing this for my brother Paul who was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Paul is 59 years old and like many others, never expected he would be going through this. He went into Lahey Hospital 4 weeks ago with what he thought was acid reflux symptoms … he was then admitted to Lahey Burlington for more testing. It was after this that he was given the news that every person fears and one that has completely shocked his life and ours…… “You have incurable but treatable stage 4 colon cancer"..........
Paul is a wonderful father and has been my rock helping with daily care for our mother who is 87yrs old and suffers with heart failure and the early stages of dementia . He would come every day to make her lunch and spend a couple of hours with her to brighten her days. Now he is unable to help in anyway because of the heavy load he is carrying, feeling weak and nauseous, and the fight he is fighting every day.
He started Chemo 2 weeks ago and has been unable to keep up with the physical duties of working his full time job with the side effects this treatment is causing. If he is having a good week, he is able to work 3 days a week instead of 6 . We are hoping he will not lose his job during these next 4 months of chemo treatment as keeping his medical insurance is critical right now.
Unfortunately, he works for a small private company and they do not offer any type of short or long term disability at this time.........
His family is seeking support to help Paul towards his weekly treatments expenses and out of pocket costs, basic living expenses, prescription cost co-pays and any other needs related to his care. Any donation, no matter how small, would truly be appreciated.
Thank you all in advance for your kind consideration and generosity and please know Paul will be very grateful for your kindness, support and prayers. We know he will be a survivor and KICK CANCER’S ASS!!
