Help Paul Hoti and His Family!

Hello! My name is Paul Hoti, and I’m an aspiring high school history teacher and filmmaker! I work as a substitute teacher during the school year, and am a year away from completing my masters!

In late June, I learned that my part-time tutoring job in midtown Manhattan had cut my hours to essentially, nothing. I was counting on this job to help me pay my bills. I was forced to move out of the small room I was living in, and moved back in with my mother. Unfortunately, at this time, she was out of work from her job, due to a back injury. As of the writing of this message, she is STILL out of work. My grandmother has already helped as much as she could, and now me and my mother are quite literally done to having probably, 200 dollars combined, between the two of us.

I applied to the Petrie Grant from my school, which offers 1000 dollars to those in need. However, they haven’t gotten back to me in a week and a half, and unfortunately, me and my mother need money now. I tried looking for work on my own over the summer, but was been unable to find anything. As for substitute teaching, my first paycheck would come to me on October 5th, a month from now.

I did the math for how much money I needed to make over the summer back in mid-June, and it came out to around 2500 dollars, which is what I’ll set the goal of the fundraiser as. However, any bit of money will help! Thank you for your consideration!
