Help Paul Womble Fight Against Bone Marrow Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
We are writing to ask for your help supporting Paul Womble and his family during his fight against Myelofibrosis, a rare bone marrow cancer. Paul’s diagnosis means that he will be facing a long and difficult journey. He heads to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX on June 18 to begin chemotherapy before having a bone marrow transplant. He will need to remain in Houston for close, local monitoring for at least 100 days following the transplant due to the risk of infection/complications after transplant.
We have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help alleviate some of the financial burden on the Womble family. Every cent donated will go directly to Paul and his immediate family. Our fundraising goal is $50,000. We realize this is ambitious but believe it can be achieved with your support. This amount will help cover some of the ancillary costs associated with Paul’s transplant including rent for temporary housing in Houston for Paul & his caregiver after his hospitalization, travel expenses to and from Houston, essential expenses and loss of income over the next 6-8 months, among many other expenses.
Please visit the CaringBridge page created by Susan, Paul's wife, to learn more about his journey and leave supportive messages.
By sharing this GoFundMe link on your social media platforms we can be sure to reach out to many more people.
Thank you for your generosity and support. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference to Paul and his family as they navigate this difficult time.
