Help Paula Craig with her cancer fight
Paula Craig and her husband Gary Kudrna have a HUGE fight on their hands since Paula was diagnosed with Glioblastoma which is a terminal form of brain cancer. Not only are the medical bills astronomical, but Gary is having to stay home (no work) in order to care for her during her chemo and radiation treatments. (not to mention the past year with little to no income from the pandemic.)
Paula and I have been best friends since we met at the University of NH in the late '70s. I truly don't believe either one of us would have graduated without the help and love we gave each other along the way. Her Yin to my Yang. (I believe her mother would agree.) We helped each other grow up and become confident women. In my estimation, no one has a bigger heart, or a kinder soul than Paula.
The fight she is going to endure starts with 42 days of an oral form of chemo that will basically turn her into a "poisonous" being. Hence - Gary will go through chemo school to understand the protocols necessary to keep her, their pets, and himself safe during this journey. At the same time she will have to travel five days a week for radiation treatments. After the 42 days she gets four weeks off which is when they will do another MRI to see if the treatment is doing its job - which is to stabilize the spread of the tumor in order to give Paula hopefully more time to be with her family.
All monies collected will go towards medical bills, mortgage, utilities, and whatever in-home help may be necessary.
It's so important to me that these two people get the support they need. Paula and Gary took care of me when my daughter Tracy had a stroke back in 2007. They opened their home, gave me a car, and took care of all business so that I could be with Tracy in the hospital and the rehab center for two months! They raised money and helped me pay all of Tracy's bills. Then - Paula came to my aid again when I fell ill with a different form of cancer.
I could go on forever with why I love these people so much - but truly - they need our help now. This Go Fund Me is public - please share it with everyone, give what you can.
Thank you.
