Help Paula Recover with Peace of Mind
Donation protected
Hi friends,
Our beloved Paula is facing a major back surgery next week. As many of you know, she’s a fierce and loving mom to two beautiful babies. Beautiful Otis, 21 months, and the newest addition to the family, Hugo, who is only 3 months old. Paula and Max have been holding it all together with grace and grit. Now it's our turn to hold them.
Paula will need about 6 weeks to recover fully after spinal surgery—and during that time, she won't be able to lift her children, drive, or manage her home the way she usually does.
On top of that, she lives far from family and doesn't have a large local support system. If Paula and Max still lived in L.A. you better believe I'd be organizing a big ol' meal train! I'm sure I'm not the only one that wishes we could swing by after work or on the weekend to wash some dishes and change a diaper or two. Since that's not possible for much of Paula and Max's community, I figured this would be a great alternative to be able to send some "representatives" in our place.
We’re putting together a fund to help cover:
- Nannies so the babies are cared for while she heals
- Weekly housekeeping to keep the home clean and stress-free
- Uber rides to doctor appointments 2–3x/month
- TaskRabbits for any specific errands or help carrying items up and down the stairs of their 4-story walk-up apartment. (NO ELEVATORS! CAN YOU IMAGINE!? NYC IS ON SOME BS.)
We're hoping to raise $10,000 to cover 5–7 weeks of these essential needs, ensuring Paula can recover safely without added financial stress in one of the most expensive cities in the world.
If you know Paula, you know she would never ask for this herself—but she has always shown up for her people. This is our moment to show up for her.
Every little bit helps. Truly. Whether you can contribute $5 or $500, we’re deeply grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing this with others who know and love Paula makes a big difference, too.
Thank you for being part of her village.
Let’s lift her the way she’s always lifted us.
